Entries for the Upper South Island AOY Awards closed on Friday 31 July
Judging was undertaken by Mark Vining NRMBA, Mike Patchett BCITO & Glen Jarvie Carters in Mid August.
The 10 Upper South Island finalists were:

Brendan Simpson employed by Toby Gaskin Builder Ltd
The Awards were held on Wednesday 16 September 2009, 6.30 pm at the Trafalgar Park Pavilion. MC Cocksy.
The 3rd Place getter was Joshua Lee, 2nd Steve Koller and 1st Shayne Dickinson.
Shayne will go to Wellington in October to represent the Upper South Island at the National Awards.
